support@lingueaseapp.comLinguease uses a Siri Shortcuts personal automation. You set it up once — the app walks you through it — and from then on, when you open an app you've chosen, Linguease asks you to type a word before it lets you through. It does not use Screen Time, and it does not ask for the Family Controls permission.
Any app you can name in the Shortcuts app. Most people set it up for Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Reddit and Facebook, but nothing is hard-coded.
Long-press your home screen, tap the plus button in the top corner, search for Linguease, and pick a size. Small, medium and large are all supported. The widget shows one active word at a time and rotates through your list.
English and Brazilian Portuguese are the primary pair. Fifty more languages are available in the picker, including European Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Dutch and Irish.
Yes. Translations run on-device. Once the language you're learning has been downloaded, no connection is needed.
Words you complete come back for review at widening intervals — you see a word again just before you would have forgotten it. Words you've nailed rotate out of the widget so it keeps showing you the ones that need work.
Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Find Linguease and tap Cancel Subscription. Access continues to the end of the billing period you've already paid for.
Turn it off in Linguease, then delete the automation in the Shortcuts app. Both steps are needed — the automation lives in Shortcuts, not in Linguease.
